Vogel Lab Students Receive Grants

shauhin_collecting_data_0948Shauhin Alavi, a doctoral student in Dr. Vogel’s lab, received a research grant from the International Primatological Society for his dissertation research on cognitive mapping and seed dispersal in wild Bornean orangutans. Shauhin and Tim Bransford are both at the Tuanan Orangutan Research Station for one year collecting their dissertation data.


Tim Bransford, Shauhin Alavi, Alysse Moldawer, and Didik Prasetyo (all doctoral students in the Vogel lab) have received funding from CHES and the Department of Anthropology to conduct summer research at Tuanan and nearby sites in Borneo.
